Course:  GroupWise Webaccess E-Mail Level:  01 Length:  5-10 min


We are now making the GroupWise WebAccess available to you. This is accessible from a web browser anywhere there is an Internet connection. Your new usernames for e-mail will match the network logins and you will only need to remember one. The username is your firstnamelastname as on the sign-up form with no spaces in between.


Step 1: Go to the employees sections. If you go to www.westbrookisd.com and click on “Employees” you will connect to the Employees main page.
(Or you can type in http://mail.westbrookisd.com/servlet/webacc and skip to step 3.)


Step 2: Connect to the mail server. You can scroll down to the GroupWise section and click on “Connect to Webaccess” in the list. This will connect you to the e-mail server.
 


 


Step 3: Enter your login information. When the login screen appears enter your username (firstnamelastname) with no spaces. Press the tab key and enter your password. Follow this with a click on the Login button.


 


Step 4: Make your selections. Once you are in the system you will see the following screen.


These are your options for this screen.

A) This will bring up the main screen as you see it above.
B) This connects to the screens for composing an e-mail.
C) These are the address books. There is a pre-built address book for GroupWise with all the staff already in it. You also have your own personal address book where you can add whatever e-mail address you wish. (These will be available anywhere.)
D) Click here to list the e-mail currently in your in-box.
E) The Cabinet is where you can create folders to organize the e-mail you wish to save.
F) Junk Mail is a feature controlled by the regular client, so you want to check it now and then. Once you have the client you can change these settings to suit your needs.
G) Click on the subject to view the e-mail.
H) The paperclip lets you know if the e-mail has an attachment. (Do not open attachments unless you are sure they are safe. You can always ask the sender for verification.)
I)  These selection boxes are used to choose which e-mails to delete, move, or …
J) This is a very handy help program. Use it and you will see.
K) This button connects you to your options, including changing your password.
L) This button will log you out of the program.
M) In this area your selection buttons will appear.
N) On this side is the information about the individual e-mails.
