In Texas the School Board of Trustees oversees the running of the independent school districts throughout the state. The Westbrook Schools have seven members on their board. These elected positions receive no pay and yet spend many hours working with school administrators to provide the highest quality education possible for the students in Westbrook Schools. The members have created an environment where Westbrook Schools are an integral part of the community and the community is an integral part of Westbrook Schools.

Westbrook ISD will hold a Regular School Board Trustee Election on May 4, 2024.
The first day to file for a place on the ballot: Wednesday, January 17, 2024
The last day to file for a place on the ballot: Friday, February 16, 2024. •

Candidates for Place 1 (Mitchell and Scurry Counties); Place 3 (Haskell, Jones, and Shackelford Counties) and Place 5 (Callahan and Taylor Counties Except Abilene Independent School Dfstrict) may file between February 1 and February 20, 2024, either in person at 1850 State Highway 351, Abilene, Texas between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, or by certified mail to the Executive Director, Region 14 Education Service Center, 1850 State Highway 351, Abilene, Texas 79601. There is no filing fee.
