"La educacion no cambia al mundo, cambia a las personas que van a cambiar al mundo." - Paulo Freire
I am so proud and excited to be able to come back to WISD, my home away from home, to teach Spanish I & II again. I had taught Spanish for 25 years before retiring from WISD. Therefore, I feel very blessed to be able to come back to teach in this great school system! I enjoyed working with students from the very first day I started my teaching career till the last day I worked. I am looking forward to teaching your children this year.
My daughter, Toni, is a 1998 Westbrook graduate. She earned her B.A. in Sociology from Angelo State in 2000 and received her M.Ed. in Counseling from Sul Ross State University in 2004. Toni is the Director of the Area Agency on Aging of the Concho Valley Council of Governments in San Angelo. My niece, Sheila, is also a 2002 Westbrook graduate. She is a recruiter for the Girls Scouts of America in Abilene. I have an 8 year old great-niece, Breahna and a 6 year old great-nephew, Stanley.
I received my Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Western Texas College, Bachelors of Science from Angelo State, and M.Ed. in Counseling from Sul Ross State University. I am certified to teach Elementary Ed, English, and Secondary Spanish.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your child's life this school year! If you should have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email .
